International nursing education with a strategic emphasis on sustainable health care

As Finnish healthcare becomes more multicultural, establishing a degree program in English will increase regional internationalization and ensure future nurses have the required multicultural skills. The international nursing education curriculum in Northern Ostrobothnia aims to meet the needs of the Finnish and global health societies while also strengthening collaboration with various stakeholders in education and employment. The principles of sustainability in nursing practice will be a key principle in helping nursing students acquire the skills and competencies required by Finnish and European law. This article describes the international nursing education curriculum with a strategic emphasis on sustainable health care and its importance to address the critical nursing shortage in Finland.

Nursing Perspective on the Interprofessional Co-operation in Breast Cancer Therapeutic Phase

Interprofessional collaboration is vital in the treatment of breast cancer patients. Nurses play an important role in the care of patients undergoing breast cancer therapy. The Ebreast Project II generates new research data that will aid healthcare educators, CPD specialists, and healthcare students and professionals especially nurses in better understanding breast cancer therapy and other associated interventions through education.
