Tag uusiutuvat energianlähteet
An increasing demand for carbon-neutral energy and the recent changes in the global energy market have made energy production, consumption, and price highly important for the global economy and individual consumers. Optimization of energy production is essential since both consumption and price vary. Hydropower production can be maximized for rush hours, which guarantees the availability of energy, maximizes the profit for plant operators, and also reduces peak-hour customer prices.
The web application developed in this project collects various sensor data from power plant in Vietnam and produces live dashboards which support data-driven decision-making of plant operations. Results indicate that the system reduces the number of working hours needed to run the operations and improves the revenue of the plant corporation. It also serves as a transparent way to keep stakeholders informed about the current status of the plant.

Lisäksi hän selvittää kunkin energiantuottomuodon osalta asioita, joihin tulisi kiinnittää huomiota, jotta kyseisten energiantuottomuotojen hyödyntämisestä saadaan irti mahdollisimman paljon. Päätuloksista selviää, että aurinkopaneelien sekä aurinkokeräinten tuotannossa on huomioitava, ettei tuotantoa ole mahdollista säädellä, vaan tuotanto painottuu vuositason tarkastelussa kesäkauteen ja vuorokausitason tarkastelussa päiväaikaan. Maalämpöpumpun lämpökaivo on tärkeää mitoittaa oikein. Jos se on liian pieni, se viilenee liikaa. Kaukolämpöakkujen tarkastelussa tulee tuoda esille, että ne ovat vielä melko kalliita ja vaativat suuren tilan. Blogitekstin perustuu Pelttarin opinnäytetyöhön.
